There are two main types of Hydrant Valves: Standing and underground. The Standing type is divided into two models: Dry Barrel and Wet Barrel. Dry Barrel is more suitable in areas where there is probability of water freezing. But the Wet Barrel is used in hot climates, including southern cities of Iran and has the advantage of easy availability of water and faster in utilizing the valve compared to the Dry Barrel.
